I think there is some possibility there Slow, if I'm understanding it correctly. The one thing that would concern me is that if the entire lantern were in a box, even with some air vents, which it would absolutely need, it could generate too much heat and overpressure the fuel tank on it. Just running a lantern outdoors, I'm sure you've felt just how warm the tank can get on it....now enclose that in a box with the heat from the mantles and it will heat up a bunch. The + side is that you won't need to pump it up...the down side is it could overpressure and flood and cause a real issue with burning fuel. I dunno if I'm full of crap...but it's just a thought on it all. Doug

Like Randy...I just set it in the trailer on a board prior to going to bed and it takes the chill off the trailer...warms it up to like nearly 60 after like 45 min. and that was when it was in the 20's outdoors.
