The T@B!!!

Postby the other side » Wed Apr 11, 2012 12:15 am

I saw on the Go Little Guy website that they are putting out new floor plans for the T@B, and they are available NOW!!! They are even making the Clamshell model again (but it won't be out for a couple months I think it said).

Have seen pictures but hope to see a new one this summer. Little Guy has made a lot of changes and we want to see one up close. No dealers close to us.

A RV place near me just got a shipment of the new T@Bs a couple weeks ago - haven't gotten a chance to go by there yet to check them out yet though.

It's interesting, the dealer that has the T@bs sells full size RVs also, he has nothing smaller than the T@b (no other Little Guy trailers). There is another guy just across the freeway that sells quads and Can-Am spyders, but also has a bunch of Little Guy trailers, but no T@bs. Different target markets I guess.

And price brackets. I'd buy a T@B if someone else put a nice down payment on one for me.

I saw the t@b at this years RV show. They used lots of plastic. It didn't look like it would hold up and it cost a ton of money. I think the old companies product used better materials. You could build something a lot nicer for less money.

The new floor plans just started being made April 1, 2012.

If I could change one thing to the T@B, I would want the ceiling and walls to be the birch wood (just like the Silver Shadow's). I think it would be awesome, breathtaking, and retro style looking! Maybe like the Silver Shadow of the T@B.

Doris- What were the plastic items you were concerned with?

Ones at the dealer here have a lot of unnessary plastic on them. Just decoration screwed on and furure leak points.

I saw the T@Bs at the Sacramento RV Show last month...better than most RVs out there now, as far as styling and cheesy workmanship. But still not as sturdy as the older RVs. Lots of women were looking at them...something more easily handled than a regular trailer, I guess. They seemed better than they were a few years ago..the interiors of those seemed really flimsy. But mind you, I had the 72 Aristocrat at the time to compare everything to, and that is built like a house...literally. Dang solid. They don't make em like they used to..but then they aren't as heavy as they used to be either!

I didn't really get the dinette/bed situation for the T@B. It didn't seem user friendly, or maybe it was that once you had that thing made into a bed, that's the way it would stay...and you would be cooking at the foot of the bed, sitting on the edge to eat. And the flat screen TV next to the sink was a bit odd...but what do I know...I don't watch TV.

I'm still happy with my trailer. Even with all the work I'm doing to stop leaks right now. I love that thing..really well thought out interior. Not just a bed on wheels. But I might have done the galley differently.

I think I'm camping with a T@B this summer..I'll ask a few questions and see how the lady still likes it..or if she thinks the new ones are way better. I'm curious..they are different..

That would be great to ask questions and pass them on to us!!! Atleast I'd appreciated it!

With the dinette deal, I think you would put your bed down when you go to bed and put the table back up during the day, if you are going to have use for the table. I guess most people would eat outside, and if that is the case, I guess they could just leave the table down into the bed. But atleast the table could be put back up whenever you have a need for a table or if you are forced into your camper because of weather or bugs or whatever.
