Registering a Teardrop in the province of British Columbia

Postby chipscon » Tue Jun 19, 2012 8:29 pm

As it changes from place to place, does anyone know what it takes to register a teardrop in the province of BC? I have registered a ubilt in this province without any inspections by just answering questions to complete some form at ICBC. I see in the present reg's that an inspection is required on trailers over 4000lbs GVW. As my tear will come in at around 1500lbs and I'm on a deadline (three weeks from now)does anyone know if an inspection is required here in BC?

Thanks,
Ray

Hi Ray
Got mine registered a couple weeks ago in about 10 minutes.
As a ubuilt under 4000 lbs?

Registering a Teardrop in the province of British Columbia

Same here. It's registered as a ubuilt because it's light enough and doesn't have gas appliances built in. The local RV shop warned me about the gas bit.
