Heat wave in Georgia

We are having extremely hot weather in Georgia. Higher than normal. Anyone passing through over the next few days be careful if you have to be out away from the ac. Here is the thermometer on my porch near the house. the one in a different location is reading 109 degrees F. This one is a little high due to location. Supposed to be in 105+ range for the next few days. A little hotter than we are used to.

It "inhales sharply" in Alabama too. I went out and installed a swing away tongue jack, and I was drenched in sweat and a little dizzy. The heat wave is supposed to break in a week or so.

Just as many times as skeptics will say the idea is a hoax every time there's a major snowstorm. Heat waves and snowstorms are events, not trends. In the end, a heat wave or a snowstorm doesn't really tell us anything. It's only long term trends that matter.

Gee thanks Eric! I went out into the garage this morning around 7:30 and it was already 79 degrees out there. Worked 3 hrs change some cabinets out and when I came in around 11 am it was already 94. By 1pm the garage the temp gage I have attached to the tear registered 112 degrees inside the garage! Needless to say not much work out there this weekend or next week!

Same here in South Carolina. Looks like I'll be painting my weekender in the middle of the night.

I remember folks saying it was 110* degrees in the shade in Atlanta when I was a kid. I also remember getting dizzy, sitting down and getting a nose bleed. That was over 45 years ago. Global cooling happened since then.

Odd thing here, it’s been Hot as usual (mid 90’s) , no record breaking heat for sure ... seems like all the heat moved North ... You guys are Lucky , it probably won’t last long (hopefully) .... Here when people ask when it gets cool again , we tell em’ .... November... True !!!
