The van is MINE!

After purchasing Gertrude in March I discovered that my proposed tow vehicle was only 4 cylinders - way too puny to pull a 2400 pound load! My wonderful son-in-law put a receiver on their van and agreed to loan it to me whenever I wanted it - as long as I traded off a car for them to use. This worked well until two weeks ago. Seems that he didn't like my plan of taking the van for three weeks the end of October - first of November and leaving them with the "go cart", as my daughter calls my Ford Focus! The solution - they would sell me the van and buy themselves something else. So tonight I drove home in MY van! I can now hook up Gertrude any time I want and take her for parking practice, or to go get her new tires this Friday, or even to go camping on a whim! And the best part? I can leave my stuff in the van as long as I want!!
