Fan (blower) is 12 V uses 1-2 amps; on adjustable settings; BUT; I dont use the blower fan so no battery power wasted / usage; its not required to run the heater but is better to move the heat around the trailer (I guess; but convection works just fine for me). Theres no internal ignition; I use a BBQ lighter; no power is necessary to operate.
Yep it is the cats meow; but Im more a dog person; either way I'v curled up beaide the fire place on many a cold nights.
The one thing to watch is to position the fire place and chimny vent (this is where lots of heat radiates) where nothing (cloths; plastic bags; coats or sleeping bags may contact or melt (or yikes maybe ignite) against the heater / vent.
I have the 9000 and it kicks out plenty of heat for a 6 ft ht 6X10 ft space; even on low; thus I got a reducer valve from the manufacturer.
OH I also got a propane tank valve gauge so I can anticipate when I need refills; it surprisingly lasts longer than I anticipate; one refille this season so far and I've had a fair amout of use out of it ...
It is a little pricy at 900 so watch for sales I got mine at 620.
Cheers BC Dave
