DragonFly is Finished

Postby sid » Sat Sep 08, 2007 7:43 pm

Got the windows put in today and the doors hung, an LED license plate light on the hatch, and some trim work finished up. I think she's ready to go camping.

35 days from start to finish.

We are going to Tullahoma, TN to AEDC (Arnold Engineering and Development Center... a fancy name for an Air Force base that does testing). My wife has a workshop down there next Wed-Friday. The campground is on Tims Ford Lake and right next door to the work shop. I think I can get a little kayaking and fishing in while she's at work!

Very cool Sid. I especially like the contrast of the wood sides and the white top. And your doors blend right into the side profile. What kind of door hinge did you use? And is that a painted top?

Enjoy that first adventure........................

Thanks for the comments.

It's a stainless steel piano hinge painted black. The white is a fiberglass type material they use on the top of semi trailers. It is not painted.

Sid it must feel really good, to prepare to camp in something you created. You should be proud and enjoy.
