Just a mixture of shots to share from Cambria, San Simeon, Pismo Beach, and the sunset shots and boulders were taken in the mountains of Boulevard Ca. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Well first of all what you are looking at are not just "toll booths" but rather THEE singular answer to erase California's dept within 6 months. The toll booths are on CA 73 which passes through an incredible scenery of mountain views. I was on this stretch of highway for no more than 15 miles and payed $9.95. I can assure you that that will be the last picture I ever take of these stylish toll booths again. (Note to self: When using Mapquest for routing a trip, BE SURE TO CLICK THE BUTTON THAT SAYS "NO TOLL ROADS".) Ouch.

Aaahhhh, just the other week I was California Dreamin'. I had considered taking a tour that went down the CA coast and stopped at all the major beach spots. Your pictures did the trick for now!

Great images. What kind of camera did you use?

really nice. The sunset is unbelivable. Very impressive.

BTW - How do you like the Privy Shelter. Just got one and used it for the first time last week. A "MUST" item to have with a Teardrop.

Thanks for sharing-

Hi Todah Tear, I just recently got a Canon PowerShot SD880 that I'm learning how to navigate. (I also have an Olympus C5000) My only complaint is that I am getting "ghosts" on night shots when using a flash with the Canon, other than that I am very pleased with it. I want to get a handlebar mount for my bike so that I can take video as I ride. There's really no better way to experience a beach town than on a bike. Glad you enjoyed the pics and whenever you make it out to California, I can tell you the hardest part is coming back.

Hey Chris, I hope you got my thanks to you for your travel tips. Sorry I didn't have time to hook up on this trip but you can believe there will be many others. I'm keeping your contact info. I posted while on the road of a teardrop sighting in San Dimas, CA in the parking lot of a Motel 6 - here's the pic of that below. It was not Gaston the Canadian as you suspected. (The pic that you posted of his vintage teardrop is awesome by the way.)

Here was the first campsite of my journey and it was a doozy. I arrived at San Dimas late at about 11 o'clock at night so the temps had cooled considerably. Backed right on up to a hedge in the rear and a high mound of grass landscaping on my side keeping me nice and stealth. This quiet parking lot had everything but a mint on my pillow as far I was concerned. Slept like a baby and left at 5 the next morning.

Hi Bill, glad you enjoyed the pics. The sunsets in the mountains of Boulevard, CA. are beautiful and the show doesn't stop there. When the sun drops, every star in the heavens is more brilliant than I ever experienced. I am researching telescopes for this very reason now. I have noticed a lot of teardroppers share this passion too and it totally makes sense because teardroppin creates so many opportunities for awesome night sky watching.

And a big YES for the pop up Privy Shelter being a MUST item to have with a teardrop. I wouldn't be without it. It's a changing room, porta potti, and shower. I even love the small slot opening to reach your towel from the inside. I keep 8 gallons of water on my platform with a pump and 10 foot hose and shower head. I use this set up the most, but if I want my set up away from the tear, I'll use my Extreme Shower from Zodi.

I say that with no disrespect intended - but WOW! This hardly sounds like "the land of the free..."
