2010 Lake Perris SCTT Gathering Pictures

Postby teardrop_focus » Mon Mar 22, 2010 12:31 am

Post your March 17 - 20, 2010 SCTT Lake Perris gathering pics or your links to pics albums here... (Mods, obviously move this thread to any, more appropriate forum...)

:snappy:

I was busy talking to many teardrop owners and builders so I only took a few snaps... and since the internet is more fun with pics, here they are!

And perhaps one of the most historically significant tears, a Kaycraft Kampster! It's design was one of the first ever published, dating from 1936 - 1937 according to a pdf linked in these Vintage Plans

It was really great to finally meet you, and it was a great weekend. I believe they said they had 130 teardrops and then another came in late afternoon Saturday to make it 131. 8)

The award to the whimsical category goes to this trailer:
Image

My favorite teardrop of the day:
Double walled, insulated, larger interrior, and galley. Should tow light compared to size. I believe it is 1940's build.
Image

My favorite decoration.

Most interesting:

And the winner is for the best new features, the pop out awning, on both sides!

Chris (teardrop focus) it was nice to meet you at the gathering. I was surprised when you called out my name.

Eddie, I must have missed a lane or something, I didn't see your car, and don't know how I missed it. I was looking forward to seeing the car and teardrop for the first time.

Cliff, you probably just walked right by him. He was down the hill and round the bend a little and on the opposite side as where I was. Across from that old coot from AZ (Bud) with the blue truck & fiberglass woody with the blue fenders. ;)

Likewise. I've been acquainted with you, online, for almost one year now. Image

Cliff you didn't miss a lane, you walked right passed me. You took a picture of Bud's tear parked right across from me. 8)
