First off let me say hi and man I'm glad i found this site.

OK a little background first I'm a tournament kayak fisherman and have been ground camping for the last three year's at these events ranging from campgrounds to old abandon runways and decided to get a camper this year so off to craigslist i went. not wanting to spend thousands of my hard earned dollars on something i ill only use a handful of times a year and being picky nothing i saw was going to do. then one night out of the bowels of a online forum a link to a pic from this site and BAM the searching was over so out went the lawnmowers ,weed whackers and and all of the paneling of my 6x12 cargo trailer a good power washing of the interior and off to work i went

OK so that's all for now will be updating as things get done
thanks again
Chester

This looks good. Can you implement this?

on the walls is a fiberglass panel with bumps on it found at both the big box stores first i just cut it and put some screws in it but now i have glued it to the walls it was loose and i did not like it

and yes it's just luan pushed and screwed at the top not on the sides

Out of curiosity, could you share the locations of these abandoned runways? I'm involved with an organization that rents closed runways all over the country for weekend events, and am curious if your events have been using the same ones that we do.

Do you plan to mount your kayak on the roof of the trailer? Would it fit inside near the ceiling with E-track and removable 2x4 cross braces? I can't tell what the thing is on top of the trailer in the first picture.....

lol their is nothing on top of the trailer that's the t-top on my boat behind it
i keep my kayak on my truck but want to find racks that fit the trailer so if anyone knows what brands fit would be helpful i tried the ones from my friends van and they did not fit

the airport runway is Floyd Bennett field located in Brooklyn NY we fish Jamaica bay in may for striped bass, weakfish and blue fish its a three day event and will be camping for five

ok i installed e track and made a king size bed i cut a 20 inch section off the end for a bench seat for the day time. i will just fold up the foam mattress or maybe cut the foam i have not decided yet. i will mount e track on wall above bed to insert the bench back. I'm 6'4" and need the king bed so thought this was a good alternative for more space during the day

here with the bed full size
