I will try and lobby for two nites...but I have to be gentle.

Those who were with us last year understand that this is not the normal KOA, State Park..somebody's property gathering.

The owners are running a business and we are guests. Two nites may not work but I am trying my best to see if it is possible.

I ask that you read last years event thread if you can to see the general feel of things.

Last year trying to keep the alternative list up to date and manage cancels and add ons was a jumble to say the least.

Currently the list stands as is. If I get a cancel then I will contact the next up on the thread.

unfortunately I can not have an open door policy.

Done, you know how it goes...someone wants to go but life, kids, family tend to present many opportunities that get in the way of the fun.

Actually I did hear from her, she has added a second story to the teardrop with an observation deck.

She has asked if you would like to sublet the bottom story???

Hi everyone!!

We just got back from a week up at Lake Tahoe with the teardrop. Kids were in their tents.

One day at Sugar pine and the 6 days at DB Bliss. Sugarpine was really nice and flat. and across the highway was the beach. DB Bliss is more of a multi tier camp ground with the premium spots closer to the water, but more geared to tent camping. Our spot was way up at top about a mile away from the beach . The campsite was on a multi tiered spot. Lots of stairs and levels?

bathroom was up the hill and only one shower worked in the mens room, ladies was not working at all, had to drive everyone down to the lower level for a good shower. Lessons learned.

Lake Tahoe is just beautiful!! Lots of swimming in the lake and kayaking.

Anyway wanted to answer a question about the wait list. I am pretty sure at the beginning of the thread that I would not keep a wait list as it tends to become chore as people tend to want to back in or have plan changes. If a spot does come available I will go back through the thread as a whole and offer it to the next person that made a mention of interest...no offense to anyone just last year I ended up learning a lot on how these things go and how much attention it requires.

When somebody back out then I will make the next offer up. If you have expressed interest on the thread then I gotcha down.

Just a note wife and I are going to Paris for two weeks in August starting the 12. I will not be checking this thread or the website....or wifey will toss me in to the Seine. Maybe I can look for a vintage French teardrop while there??

When we do get back all questions or PMs will be answered after I dig out of the e-mail jail from work.

Have fun in Paris! If you've never been before, and have any appreciation for impressionist art at all, don't skip the Musée d'Orsay. It was surreal to stand just inches from some of the most famous works of art in the world, particularly the Van Goughs. The colors... Oh the colors Great works of art + French food = fantastic Paris experience.

First time for my wife Stacie. I have been but it has been at least 25 years ago. We have rented an apartment in the 4th Marias very close to everything so should be a lot of fun. The Orsy is my favorite and plan to make a day or more there. Normally I would map everything out but this time this is more for my wife and let her set the path for us to follow. Two weeks should be plenty, one week would of been to little.

I will give an update of our adventure when we get back...if I can I will include some pics of the food Stacie!!
