Maybe this has been posted already on here. I came across this today when I was researching DO stuff....... It came off another website. I hope this link works for everyone. You will need ACROBAT Reader to load this.

Jack pot! Thanks, what a great guide for newbies, with a ton of recipes to get one started.

Thanks so much!!! I have been looking for help and now I have it. Being a newbie, I am really a "dummy" at DO cooking. :?

Okay...I got one for Christmas, but have yet to even take it out of the box. We have the Cooler by the Lake Gathering this weekend and I would like to attempt something. Is there a easy can't screw up recipe anyone knows of?
It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.

Sure, make a pot of beef stew. Can't mess up on that. Brown off some steak or hamburgar then pour in some beef stock, onions, carrots, green beens, corn, ce,ery and then salt/pepper, and anything els you might like in it. Ummm yum I am hungry already.

Black Forest Cobbler

29 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 devils food cake mix
12 oz can of lemon lime soda

Empty contents of cake mix in large bowl. Pour soda into cake mix a little at a time., stirring after each addition until it reaches cake batter consistency.
Lightly oil 12" dutch oven. Spread pie filling evenly in bottom of oven. Gently pour cake batter over pie filling and spread evenly.
Bake with 8 charcoal on bottom and 16 on lid for 45-60 minutes or until done. (mine was done after 38 minutes)

This is very good and easy. I would use 2 cans of pie filling. Have done it both ways and like the extra cherries.
