LED lights

Postby mikeschn » Tue Aug 10, 2004 8:15 pm

I know this topic has been covered before... but I didn't really pay much attention then...

I've since decided that the Weekender will be a bit of a taillight show!!! Sidelight show too!

I found a good source for the sidelights, at Bass Pro Shops... and I can also use one of their round white LED lights as a back up light. But I am looking for a good led tail light. Nothing old fashioned, mind you, as the Weekender is a far cry from old fashioned. Something a little more modern would be appropiate here... any one got any ideas?

http://www.superbrightleds.com has all sorts of replacement LED bulbs for standard incandescent bulbs. You could use one of them in a standard taillight fixture. By the way, their prices are in general way lower than anyone's.

Or check these out at West Marine:

I used the clear lens/red light surface mount ones.

I am using the surface mount amber oval lights from West Marine as my side lights. They look very good and are pretty bright.

Wow, so many lights to choose from. Camper lights, Plane lights, and boat lights.

Very impressive... Now we need someone to design a different kind of a teardrop. Think 57 Chevy, and put those leds into the tails!!!

Here's the one's I'm using.............(when I finally start). I'm in the process of remodelling my "den", and waiting to get the repairs done to the old shopsmith.

Hey Ken,
I have an old Shopsmith MK-V myself. Pretty old, but still does a good job making sawdust :!:

I still haven't got the hang of cutting large items like sheets of plywood on it yet, but maybe there is hope.

Great looking lights you got there.
It worked until I fixed it!!!
