I was wondering if anyone has redone Ryan's plans in metric. I'm from Downunder and we do metric here. I realise I can change the Sketchup plans to metric but to truly change to metric, the dimensions need to be tweeked. For example the timber here is milled in metric so the plans need to accomodate that. Perhaps some people on this forum are also from Australia or Europe and may have dealt with this issue so just wondering what you have done re this?

Are you referring to plywood?

In the U.S, our plywood isn't what it claims to be.

I guess I was thinking of trailer timber framing, trailer dimensions and ease of use of the plans if the main dimensions were round numbers eg. the lengtheof the base is 96" = 243.84cm. Would be good if it was 250cm.

I'm thinking hard about building the Wyoming Woody straight off the plans. I would, however, like to put roof racks on top to accommodate a batwing awning among other things. Has anyone seen a Wyoming Woody with roof racks or do you have any ideas regarding how I could strengthen the roof so as to accommodate the roof racks and extra weight?

Teardrop racks need to be attached to the walls--not the roof. Just add meat to the inner wall where you'll attach the brackets.
