That's what I was looking for, a reflective material that is light and the insulating properties are a plus. I was going to find a small piece to test what type of glue works best and the strength of material. I may have to put a coating over it.

I got wood! :R And I got the floor rough cut and holes drilled for the screws. The frame still needs some work but I needed to see where the floor would lay to make progress and for motivational purposes. Pics coming soon.

The big bolts go to the axle mount, it will get a plate to act like a washer.

I found a hand rivet puller at a pawn shop today, but it does not work with cherry's. I hope it with pop some pull thru's. A hand cherry max gun will run about $500 so I think I will just barrow that from work. And the new compressor will assist, no more waiting for my little 3 gallon to charge.

Got a day off and alot of trailer time, I shot some more rivets, installed some nutplates, cut the (what Ron calls it) bow front, trimmed the floor to match the dado on the walls, and started drawing up my walls. Im trying to take my time while drawing theprofile but it is exciting being one step closer, one step closer to taking some sort of shape.

I got the side template cut out, just need to go through it with a flush bit for the dados and some sanding.

Not much done today, I sanded the template and routed some more key points then laid the template over the real walls and sprayed all the edges and dados. Most cutting will be done with a flush bit on the router but the dados will be cut with a guide.

Thank you, though it looks like I'm move fast now, I still need some more frame work. After I get the walls cut I need to take it all apart and attach some more bottom panels, ribs, axle, and seal all the wood.

I got the walls mostly cut out and clamped them in place so I can drill holes through them and the frame so I can attach nutplates inside the frame.
I'm trying to go as far as possible before I have to tear the whole thing down and fine tune each piece.

Currently at a stand still, need to get some poplar 1x2s for the front and spars. Sure to get some after this weekend though... Taking the fam to Six Flags! Very excited.

Picked up a window unit from a friend for $40. I was thinking of setting it into the floor and making a pan for it to sit in, to protect the wood and frame from any dripping.

Randy

Though you like this FB post. It is in the same line as your Avatar.

your teardrop is coming along.

Hey I read what you wrote in Ron’s Cross Bow thread but was not sure what part of the models dimensions you want me to change for a model. Was that for the teardrop you were planing? If you have a flat drawing of your profile and some measurement I can model you up one for you.
