So, I know you said the vertical hitch was for your bikes, so I'll guess you're looking at making some sort of bike rack. Pivot included to store the bikes flat while traveling? Perhaps to reduce wind resistance and/or make sure the bugs hit the bottom of the bikes?

Or...given it looks like there may be both an az and el pivot, maybe a clockwork mount for your solar panel? (Or do I only get one guess?)

It works well. I was concerned there wouldn't be enough room for tight-backing crabs.



That's a Swagman Current rack. It's rated to hold our ebikes but we may limit it to our pedal machines since we can't charge them anyway.

We took Buring Woman on a two-nighter about 40 miles from town --locally called "downriver." Another damn-fine trip.



Nothing like a drive along the River of No Return aka Salmon River.



Good to see momma bighorn with her spunky new lamb!



We are really liking the Partner stove. It does a fine simmer or blows the heat out and everything in-between. I'm not missing the one-pound bottles.





And we're very pleased with how the bike rack is working out. The fold-down feature works well for access to the tongue box.

I get worried about levers with weight on the end. Does it wiggle when you drive? I had a buddy who's jeep rear end fell off because the spare tire was wiggling when he went offroad. The metal fatigued over time and tailgate/rear end tore off.

It doesn't. I "shimmed" it with ground-down welds so it fits like a glove. I really can't see a failure point with it.
