I have decide to go with a 110 volt camper, no DC. I have read many of the posts discussing this issue and understand the positives of each. In the many years that my family has been camping in modern type campers, we have spent most of our times at campgrounds that offer 30 amp service. We have only had one time that the DC system kicked in and that is when the campground got hit by a major thunderstorm and knocked the power out for only a couple of hours. At my wife's family farm where we like to spend time both leisure and hunting, the barn that sits over in the field where we like to stay has electricity. In the event that we would be somewhere that did not offer any electrical service, I have a compact generator that was purchased at HF.

I have tried to be financially responsible in building this camper. When I researched the cost of making the build both AC and DC, purchasing the converter, DC wire, DC lighting, and a good deep cycle battery, reflecting back on past camping experiences and the need for DC, I along with my financial advisor (sometimes called Teresa, wife, BOSS among other titles) decided to go with the all 110 VAC build.
