Hey Bob, I think my neighbor (the one you met at Versailles) could handle making one of those for you, here's what they did to a riding mower.....

Well color me happy because I just got done cleaning and packing the trailer in 95 degree heat that, because of the humidity, has a real feel of 105. I am ready for something just a tad cooler.

We're pulling out tomorrow night.

We are heading out today after work to start making our way west for the CRA. This is a huge deal for us, as this is our first long camping trip, and also our first gathering. It is a celebration of the completion of the build and also a chance to meet all these wonderful people who have been my mentors, and have become my friends, over the past 2 years. This makes it very exciting and very special.

But this trip is also extremely special for another reason and I wanted to share that with all of you. Prior to the CRA we will be in Kentucky for 5 days. When we arrive tomorrow afternoon I will be going to a surprise birthday party for two of my brothers. My sister will be coming up from Florida also. Well....what makes this so special you're wondering? I'm so glad you asked.
;) I haven't seen my brothers and sisters for almost 30 years. The last time I saw any of them was prior to my father's passing in 1984. My sister was only 14 at the time. The two brothers were young marrieds with babies. Now those children are grown and have children of their own and I will be meeting all of them for the first time.

As I have reconnected with my siblings over the past year, via Facebook, email and telephone calls, I have discovered an extended family that I didn't even know I had. A year ago, with both parents gone and the rest of us scattered to the wind and out of touch, I had no real family connections. Now it seems I have brothers and sisters and so many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, that I honestly can't even keep all the names and relationships straight half the time. I will be seeing quite a few of them for the first time while we are there.

And I will also get to spend time with some of my childhood girlfriends. This is going to be one very unique vacation. Thanks for letting me share.

I don't trust the weather reports or forcasts until the day before the forcast.
