Well Norma and I did make it to the gathering on Saturday but most everyone was gone to town !! So sorry we missed meeting you. We were able to meet the campground hosts and hostess, Will, Sharon, Shaun and of course Herbie. Herbie was by far the most enthusiastic but not nearly as helpful as Will, Sharon and Shaun. We did a walkaround and peeked in at all the tears, what a neat group came to the Winds! We hope to have our tear ready for next years gathering ( given the Wyoming location Rendezvous comes to mind ). I have some specific questions as to my build and will appeal to you guys from time to time for advice as needed. Looking forward to sharing a campground with you in the future. Lee and Norma

We arrived home Wed. afternoon. Great vacation! Now I started to go through pictures. Is somebody going to open a snapfish or photobucket page like was discussed? I am not great at techno stuff but would like to post a few pics.

I think Steve was going to set up a photobucket page. I don't think he is home yet. I just got home today, and started going through my 1700 pictures! I have a few good ones from the gathering, including one of the infamous bearcow! I'll try getting at least a few posted to here tomorrow.

My total mileage for the trip was 5210.8 with an average mgp of 20.1. I haven't added up the gas receipts yet, but estimate in the area of $1000.00.

Well the "Slowmobile" made it home a few hours ago. 3300 miles round trip. My Jeep struggled with the hills but made it! I have not added up all the fuel bills yet but it will be huge. I think as I drove dollar bills were blowing out the back of the Jeep. I even looked once to see if there was a hole in the tank! A special thanks to Paul and Joe for being my wing men as we traveled together after the gathering.

I know I am late to the party but I want to thank each and everyone that attended Walk the Winds this year. It took a lot of effort to travel from so far away. But I can tell you that you brought a smile to a cowboys face that I don't think has faded yet. Next year can only be better! Help support and promote this gathering and watch it grow!

As soon as I can I will open a Photobucket account that everyone can upload pictures to. When I have it set up, I will post the details.

Again, thanks to all. I've been able to add so many new people to my list of friends!

Looks like you had a great turnout and a good time. Congratulations! Who owned the trailer with the "Gull Wing" doors? I used to have one just like it. Doug

Hi Dee, Hope the rest of your trip went well. For pictures the easiest way I know is to upload them to www.photobucket.com and then just copy and paste them.

The gull wing is owned by Shaun and protected by Herbie. He should chime in at some point.

Walk the Winds was a great gathering. Thanks to all who did so much to make the first Wyoming gathering such a success!

Hugs to all!!!!! :D

Here are a few of my gathering pictures....

Slow did a beef roast in the DO using a recipe that he got from Bob Henry. Everyone loved it. They picked the bones clean!!!

Mike worked security with the electronic bug zapper.

We did a lantern light up. It was said that we did not need 200+ lanterns because "In Wyoming, we are not afraid of the dark!

Mike liked his new lantern....thanks to Paul for the Logo and Darren for blasting the globe...

Hopefully many of you will attend this gathering next year. It was great fun in a beautiful area.
