Being somewhat familiar with the area anybody that is entertaining the idea that you want to make a day trip up to Yellowstone during the gathering may want to rethink that. Just a day trip up to Grand Teton National Park is going to take up the better part of a day to do. Save your trip into Yellowstone for before or after the gathering, there is much to see & I HIGHLY recommend it.

As to the grizzly bear thing we are going to DEFINATELY want to keep a CLEAN CAMP! They are out there. There's a lot of misinformation out there as to the dangers of camping in bear country with the 2 deaths that happened in Yellowstone last year due to bear conflicts. In the last 100 yrs there have been only 5-7 deaths recorded in the park. You are literally 10 million times more likely to die in a car accident on the way there than be killed by a bear. There is NOTHING to fear!

This will be a fun time! Hope I can make it!

It is beautiful country there, but you sure have a whole lot of boring to drive through to get there from T-town. Wish I could make it out.

Slow:

I'll be sure to bring at least one of my single lung lanterns, but I'm afraid if I brought all my lanterns, I wouldn't have room for anything else.

Hi Martin and Liz. We look forward to having you join us for the gathering. You just registered by saying you are coming. I will add you to the list.

When the date gets closer we will divide the cost of the site by the number of trailers we have. The more we get the cheaper the stay!
