Thanks for getting back to me Gage. I've sent out an e-mail to a friend of mine in Cali, and as soon as I get word back, I'll re-arrange some things in the budget (for gas and grub), and I'll know weather or not I can be considered "serious" from there. I am TOTALLY in love with that lil tear there, and I'm determined to exhaust all options before giving up hope. I may have to wait until the 1st in order for funds to allow an expedition half way across the country, but if that be the case I'd be willing to pay you something of a storage fee since I know that the guys at the aluminum recycling yard would gladly pay to take her off your hands. While I'm on here, I have but just a couple of more questions (they seem never-ending - sorry 'bout that) : Is that the rear hatch strapped to the roof, and how far away from a welder's shop are you? I saw in another post where you said that it could be towed slow and for a few miles, so I plan on bringing a coupler with me to have welded on once I get there. I figure that some axle grease, a coupler, and trailer lights may be all it takes to get her down the road. Does that sound about right to you, or do you think it would be more difficult than just that? ...all this of course still depending on the variables mentioned earlier.
I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it left.
