A couple of questions
do you have the date of purchase or dilivery on the trailer.
Where is Bartlet Tenn?

In Missiouri you only have 30 day to register a trailer from the date of purchase. I had a problem with a trailer that was back ordered. They couldn't seem to get that the Statement of Origin was with the trailer. My primary reason for not jumping.

Secondary is where on earth I would put another trailer. Mikes gettin testy.

This is a nice set of photos of a modified trailer, if nothing else. These photos are the ones where I realized that everybody is putting a wooden crossmember, and I had to search around to figure out why. This, of course, started my other thread.

In short, the crossmembers that were there were bolted into the side rails to convert it from a folding to a rigid trailer. Wood is used as a replacement crossmember. It's being talked about in more detail in this other thread.

Sorry I didn't chime in and explain the wood crossmember. But Lance gave a perfect explanation for it. The most confusing part of first time teardrop building was modifying the trailer. If it weren't for the guys here, I would not have been brave enough to modify a perfectly good trailer frame by cutting and drilling.

I have the axle set up 33" from the rear but it can be moved forward or backwards provided you drill new holes to mount the spring mounts. I am about to pick up my new 5.5x10 trailer sometime this weekend so this puppy needs a home.

How hard would it be to modify this trailer and make it 10 ft? Maybe move the axle again?

Lots of folks here have extended it by using the cross members that are longitudally placed in the frame and just extended it out. There is a guy on here that has pictures of how he stretched it. It's no big deal to move the axle, you just have to unbolt and drill new holes for the spring mounts.

Check out this post, here's one member explaining how you can extend the trailer's length. Of coarse this modification is only for stretch it out to 9 feet in length. As I learned here, You don't have to have a 10 foot trailer to build a 10 foot long tear. You can let it hang off the front and back as long as you put the axle at the right place. Lots of folks here build the teardrop decks hanging over the trailer edges. Nothing wrong with that route.

Ok, one more price reduction and if it doesn't sell in a few more days, It's going on Ebay. Price reduced to $250. Can't really go any lower but I would like a fellow teardropper to get this trailer.
