Wow, great layout and work results. Must have knowledge in the wood working area, eh?

Looks great.

I really like the way you incorporated the corner moulding into the framing, prior to skinning!... Fabulous!!!

Wife just has a way with wood. She says she is engineering the thing "on the fly". She had some basic ideas sketched out and how she wanted to go about it and then from there, she'd sketch more detailed plans for what was being worked on at the time.

As far as the curve goes, she has routers and she knows how to use them. She's an engineer at heart so that helps.

Roadtrippers,
It's First Class all the way!!!... One of you has a "sick obsession" to impress and that, you have done!
Thanks again for sharing those awesome pics, you two have just raised the bar a notch for the rest of us to aim for...
Please stick around and post the remainder of the project and finished pics too!!!
Sure hope to see that trailer at a gathering sometime! :applause:

Of course, it goes without saying that as any proud, yet humble, craftsman does when showing off his/her creation--you must point out every single mistake and bad joint on your trailer.

You do have mistakes to point out, don't you? At least one?

Damn.

I mean, damn nice job.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

RoadTrippin::)

You both have done yourselves proud with this build.
The lines are so pretty and the love of detail is so obvious.
Your lady engineer with router in hand sure does make lines that impress~

I am going to enjoy reading your blog as your creation is superb~

Oh, we got plenty of mistakes. I guess the biggest one thus far, which thankfully was near the bottom line was the router got away from her a bit and so the line is a little wonky there.

roadtrippin... That is going to be one fantastic teardrop. Obviously... you both have some serious woodworking & design skills. You have raised the bar for a lot of us here. I am still in the planning stages of building a woodie-tear... and I had certainly thought about doing a curved laminated edge treatment. You have sure given me some good ideas. Although, I doubt my end result will be as nice as yours... Very impressive indeed!

Does anyone know what happen with this trailer? Did they ever finish it?
