I really like the way you incorporated the corner moulding into the framing, prior to skinning!... Fabulous!!!

Wife just has a way with wood. She says she is engineering the thing "on the fly". She had some basic ideas sketched out and how she wanted to go about it and then from there, she'd sketch more detailed plans for what was being worked on at the time.

As far as the curve goes, she has routers and she knows how to use them. She's an engineer at heart so that helps.

roadtrippin... That is going to be one fantastic teardrop. Obviously... you both have some serious woodworking & design skills. You have raised the bar for a lot of us here. I am still in the planning stages of building a woodie-tear... and I had certainly thought about doing a curved laminated edge treatment. You have sure given me some good ideas. Although, I doubt my end result will be as nice as yours... Very impressive indeed!
