Donor Camper Arrived

Postby samintexas » Fri Oct 10, 2014 4:38 pm

All,

Well, my donor camper just arrived, so the FUN begins! It's an old Coleman popup that was used and abused by my nephew, and I'll be salvaging a bit of it and using the frame as my base. It's 122 x 82, and I'm HOPING to build something to stand up in and sleep four, but still keep the weight down to 1200 pounds or so. I'm thinking of having either a raising roof as I've seen a few do, or a full standy. My concern about a raising roof is keep it insulated enough here in the Texas weather.

I'll be working up some ideas, as well, and would definitely appreciated feedback, suggestions, ideas, comments, whatever!

Thanks,
Sam

If you build a foamie or just a foamie roof your roof will have more than enough insulation
