New site - UtiliTear - anyone seen this before?

Postby djdawg » Thu Nov 15, 2012 5:42 pm

Interesting site...

http://www.utilitear.com/index.html

This looks new as some of the links aren't working yet...namely the "order now" link. They say for $1200 they can guide you through building a TD (including the $200 for the plans, dvd's, etc)...this would be great for a newbie like me.

I like the Star Gazer sky light? : ) No galley instructions included but that's the part I'm most confortable with.....any thoughts?

 Strange, I could see all kinds of information. You just have to look around. But then again I know how to work with a computer. :o

Besides detailed step by step instructions they also offer a Live Assembly DVD Demo disc

Oh, and djdawg I haven't seen that site before or was even aware of it. :)

Didn't have that problem both times I was in the hospital this year with my laptop. It'll probable be another story when 'Obamacare kicks in fully. :(

The domain is owned by an individual in Clifton, NJ. When I looked at the site just now, the store was "coming soon".

Yeah I got most of the links to work....the ordering link was not....I do like the idea of a DVD instructional walk through...I don't know if their $1200 total cost is realistic?? (Their $200 cost for their stuff is obviously but I'm sure supplies cost different depending on what part of the country you live in) What intrigues me most is the sky light option...that seems cool!

But Gage, I think he already has a version of Obama Care up in Canada he has to use now.

Looks pretty interesting but the materials costs seem very low to me. Of course it depends on how they finish the edges and such. They have the trailer at $250. Just my 3 tires and rims in around $450. When you add the rest of the chassis materials, I think we ended up around $800-$900. That was last spring. With the current devaluation of the dollar it's likely much higher now. Very different designs to be sure but still...

Cheers,

Dave
