I hear ya slow! I've got reservations for Indiana already set, and will make them for a New Jersey gathering as soon as the site lets me in 5 days. I'll be honest, the first real warm weekend we have, I'm off to my local state park for some quiet time. Before the season really starts it is quite empty and I'm often one of three campsites taken.

Nice going, Slow, you got me a thinking about hooking up the woody, swinging by the store for some ice and steak, then head out to a lakeside campground that is only 15 minutes from my house, in the foothills of the local mountains. Got to check out the campground to find where the friendly folks are, then I usually camp next to them. Looking forward to bacon and eggs cooked on the trusty Coleman Sunday morning. Gotta get back for the big game later in the day. The campfire will be specially nice, during these cool nights in So Calif. It should be up in the 70s again tomarrow..... I hope.
8)  Roly, hankerin' to go campin'

Sun is shining here today, but the temps are still below freezing! Supposed to star thawing this afternoon. :applause:

After the Hoosier 2013 Shiveree last weekend, I found I can stay warm and enjoy myself in 19* temps. So, now I'm planning on camping at least once a month for the rest of the winter. Quiet, peaceful, warm bathrooms and hot showers  That should keep the cabin fever in check. :applause:

I just got back from an overnight at Chatfield Reservoir. The weather was so nice I had to run out there for a quick trip.

It got down to 18 degrees last night but I stayed cozy and warm with the heater running.
Here was the best part - this room was heated too:

I'm looking forward to some real camping this spring.

I once lived in wisconsin but now Iv'e lived her so long I get cold at 55 degrees.

Slow just put some ski's on the tires pull it around the ranch in a snow storm and park it in the barn and spend the night then it will be out of your blood and you can finish the other trailer. :FNP

If you mean California, it depends on where you are in this long state. Up in Northern California, the night-time temperatures are in the 30's in the valley; but, a couple weeks ago, it was minus 30, in the mountains just north of Susanville, near the Nevada border. Southern California is a lot warmer than either of those temperatures. I think California should have been split up into a Northern and a Southern state long ago; but, we each benefit from the other half; so, it has never happened. We send irrigation and drinking water down south and they send money, north! Not such a bad deal.....

For the past week, day-time temperatures in this area have been unseasonably warm, at or near the 70's and sunny. ...Could've gone camping but had too many other things to do. I took advantage of the weather to till my little vegetable plot and amend the soil with mulch and stuff. Gotta trim back the roses, next. Everything is starting to bud out and grow. It won't be long until the daffodils are in bloom! They are usually blooming by Valentines Day. Spring will be everywhere before you know it!
