The good thing is iPhoto and Aperture are none Non-destructive. Play all day long and never hurt your original files. iPhoto will shrink files, Just hit file>Export and choose your size.

Iphoto will handle RAW but if you are really going to get into RAW Aperture is better.

I need to do more reading .

iPhoto is an amazing piece of software. I use it a lot. It is built into the Mac OS. Simple and elegant to use. You can email directly from it etc. Check it out and maybe watch a video on youtube. Great program.

Apple has one or more video tutorials and tons of useful information and hints on all its products and apps.

The info for the iLife suite that includes iPhoto, for example, is located at http://www.apple.com/ilife/ and if you want the specific URL for iPhoto, it is at http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/

I grew up on paint shop pro, and pixelmator is very similar, which is why I recommended it.

But if you've found something that works for you, then stick with it.

Still waiting to see some photos! ;)

At this point I am just trying to get pics from the camera to the computer.I went to the app store they have all kinds of trick stuff. I am getting more used to this Mac. I think I try and make things to complicated coming from windows.. This has been a big learning year for me. I think I need to starts building another trailer.
