O.M.G. Me too!! Don't tell too many people. I think it's catching on. My particular dust fancy has a smidgen of cat hair and a lot of golden retriever hair in it along with a bird downy feather as well.

I've let alot of collections go as I hate to dust them. Small kettles, small camp stoves, engraved rocks....Some collections sneak up on you. Don't even know you are collecting until you don't where to put them all.

This collection I started with clear parameters. 1) In a cabinet to cut down dusting. 2) Only buses, no bugs 3) Only splitwindow buses.

I have veered abit. Some buses came with a bug. Then I bought the Puck and added those models. The Triumph GT6 was my first car.

The biggest problem I have is that split windows tend to all look alike. My collecting has slowed considerably.

While in Cusco. Peru I noticed the hudreds of street dogs(strays?) that seemed to be everywhere you looked and I began "collecting" pictures of them. Thought it was a pretty weird thing to collect. Imagine my surprise when I googled "street dogs of Cusco" and found something like 94000 hits. I guess other people found it interesting too.

Seriously, I do like my clocks, I don't go for the new one's either. Must be wound or weight driven.
Don't look too close or you'll see my collection (dust) as I stated previously...

And a few "waiting in the wings" for me to get the camper done so I can get them repaired and in running order

And this tired old soul was rescued by my neighbor.
He stopped by to visit with a friend of ours that was tearing down an old house and found it inside waiting for distruction. He gave it to me, guess it's worth the Mt. Dew's he consumes.

The funny part is, I don't where a wrist watch anymore, because we are surrounded by time. It's on our phones, computers, radio in our vehicles, bank signs, etc. Trouble is, none of us seem to have TIME for much of anything anymore. :(

We have cuckoo clocks...they are identical (Grandma bought 3 when in Europe 40 years ago..and I have hers, Mom has the one Grandma gave her 40 years ago..)

They are like the all brown one in the top left corner picture. Only ours are painted a bit..green on the leaves and such.

Mom's needs repair, I think Grandma's is fine...and I'd love to put it up again. I grew up with the cuckoo clock..winding it, hearing the bird call and the little door slapping shut when he was done. Kids that came over thought it was nuts to have that crazy old clock around. I thought it was the coolest thing.

Of course we also cooked on CI and ate sourdough pancakes. That was odd, too, in the T-fal and Aunt Jemima/Eggo 70's.

And now I have an odd teardrop...so nothing's changed.

My dad used to also have a lot of time.
Greetings from England.

While poorly displayed, I collect older railroad and steamship china. Plan is to build a mission style display cabinet in 1/4 sawn white oak. Also as a geologist...I've been hauling boxes of mineral specimens for years...after the last move...I never bothered to put any of them out. Doug

PS...I'm looking for Northern Pacific china...

I have a few collections as mentioned. I have a small rock/fossil collection, lets see, Honda 70s , Guns, Zippo lighters, Coleman lanterns and Stoves, and knives. I had a pretty big matchbook collection. But I am reducing.

The Coleman thing has really taken hold. I have sold off most of the guns and knives that we dont use on a regular basis. Sold the matches. I am also going to sell the Hondas, its hard to let go but I must make room I think this Coleman thing might go bigtime!
