Sturgis is Aug 6-12 this year. I will be there, wish this gathering was a little closer so I could swing down on my way home.

You may have to pick a number and just make reservations. At 3.00 a trailer, it's not big deal if you overestimate. If you reserve for 30 and only ten show up, we each pay 9.00 instead. Still very affordable. Try to nail down the date right away. A lot of us have to put in for our vacation time now in order to get it. I've already put in for the other weekend, but probably can change if it's within a week or so. The vacation calendar where I work fills up very fast in January.

I would suggest not having it the first week in Aug. Alot of bikers start out early and all campgrounds become full and noisy. I mean noisy at all hours of the day and night. Not dissing the bikers at all. My bike is loud to so I know why they do it and love it. But for sight seeing and wildlife watching its a no go with constant thunder going on..

Slow we will be in cody Wy for 2 weeks again this year. You can put me down as a stop by to see you guys and visit but I just cant give up the campground in Cody. If your having trouble finding a campground at the south gate area, try the west gate seems like no one looks there and always have vacancys.

 Count me in Slow. I'm thinking Pinedale/South Pass area would be best. Some GREAT scenery in that area. Not as busy as Jellystone. Pick dates and location ASAP so people can get their plans made. You won't please everyone so don't try. Give a shout if we can do anything to help. If needed I've got a current bush set up for high altitude we could use for afternoon battery charging.

ParTaxer might be thinking of Flagg Ranch. It's between Yellowstone and Grand Teton. I'm thinking it gets filled up quickly.

Hey slow.

I just saw this thread. I sure wished I could be counted in but I will be thrashing grain at that time. And I hope to have a 4th of July campout in Leadore Idaho. Then the end of August is Burning Man. And I do not want to become involuntarily early retired by wanting to take off during grain harvest.

At 62 yo it is about 99% certain you will not find another full time job that pays much. Even before the con men got hold of the economy.

We've been planning to vacation in that area this next summer. The August 17-19 would work great for us. We can plan on that as well.

hey there, what are your plans before that weekend? maybe we can work out a convoy of sorts to get out there. not sure what part of jersey you are in, but it takes us 4 hours to get to cherry hill/philly area. from where we live we have to go about 2 to 3 hours north to start going west.
