That odd, when I registered my li'l weekender style camper the State sent me an RV plate. Same State, different BMV employee's I guess. (probably was afraid I be swappin' the plate around with my other utility trailers)
wagondude wrote:As to the origional post, another forum had a discussion of trailers to haul camping equipment with smaller cars. One of the posters mentioned being surprised by the number of people hauling thier gear in U-haul trailers. More than likely, the campground in question has very limited parking area for the tenters and does not have room for all of them to pull everything they own into the campground to unload then take up extra space with an empty trailer. A converted cargo trailer probably would not be a problem as it would be used as the sleeping area and parked in an area designed for such a trailer rather than taking up car parking space. With windows and proper equipment it is just an RV anyway. I suppose that a cranky operater could split hairs with you, but most won't. Just my thoughts on the matter.
