Hi, DF!
Nobody has any "weight" to pull at the Dam Gatherings (except for the Committee) unless you
want to ...

...! Your only obligation is to come up, hang out, meet all the fabulous people, check out all the fabulous trailers, and have yourself a Dam Good Time! Now, if you
choose to, you can contribute to the
mulligan-brew Chili pot and Potluck on Saturday night, and if you are a Dutch Oven aficionado (or wannabe), we have the Friday night
DO Sampler (where you bring your favorite or newest DO creation and share it with the group) and/or the now nearly-famous
Next Cast Iron Chef! competition (with an award for the
Campers' Favorite DO Dish and a prize and the title for the
N.C.I.C.). Saturday night's Dutch Raffle has a veritable mountain of goodies donated by local merchants as well as the campers, themselves, and raffle "tickets" are included in the Registration packet, can be bought, and/or "earned" by participating in the DO Sampler or other activities.
Of course, there are lots of sights to see around the area, antique shops, yard sales, and the Shasta Damboree celebration usually happens on the same weekend in the City of Shasta Lake, some 17 miles south of the campgrounds ... so, you'll have no problem filling your "dance card" of things to do ...

...!
Looking forward to meeting you and seeing Jerry & Norma's old Grasshopper ... maybe they'll even show up with their "new & rebuilt" model, and we can have a mini-reunion of 'Hoppers ...

...!
And, oh, BTW ... watching the newbies back in for the first time is always a "show", but it's rarely a spectacle that draws a crowd ... we usually watch from a discreet (and safe) distance, but are always close enough to lend a helping hand if needed ...

...!
As always, then ...
CHEERS!
