Congratulations Slow it is really hard to find a good match. I am on Facebook and I hate it personally. Nive to keep up with friends from Colorado and Washington. My brothers wife I swear is on it 10 hours a day playing games. You can defitialy see a lowering of standards in her house. Plays nothing but games has 800 friends. Who has 800 friends in life.

Last time I was at Spring Canyon on Lake Roosevelt was 1991. I was on a bicycle camping trip across the state.

heck yes! I find places with a pool or natural spring. Hillsborough River State Park has a huuuuuuuuuuge salt water pool and it was so refreshing yesterday. The campsites aren't very large or private but very shady for sure. They do have a walking trail where you can go see the rapids and a few other things but no place to put in a canoe that I know of.

I camp year round doesn't matter how hot or cold it is. But I do enjoy having options like swimming pool or canoe/kayaking or bike paths.

Becca, they do have a canoe launch across from the pool. They also rent canoe's. And your right about the park, it's wonderful and I love the pool.

I started in Wilson Creek. Headed for I-90, west to Seattle. South to Lake Taps, North to Seattle, ferry ride to Bainbridge Island, west to Port Angeles, up to Boulder Creek campground and the Olympic Hot Springs.
Headed back to Wilson Creek due to non stop rain on the coast, (go figure). Up to Spring Canyon, On to Spokane Liberty Lake County park & campground,
Than back to Wilson Creek.
The 11 mile climb west bound out of Vantage was a bear because of the headwind. Snoqualmie really wasn't bad because It climbs and levels and climbs some more.
I was younger and healthier.

As for all these comments about Slowcowboy's gal, here's the thing: I may raise sheep, but I'm not one. I don't mind a combo of indoor and outdoor plumbing, and I'll say this: I'm the lucky one. Love you babe.

As for where is everyone, hate to break it to ya, but there's something called a major drought, and lots and lots of fires going on. Scary sh** to even think about leaving sometimes!

Oh, and what is that again? Oh yeah, work!

I have been following the snow level up and trying to explore our area trails this year. Since I traded in the Subaru for a Ford Ranger, I can get into places that I couldn't before.

And yes, I have been using the Little Guy. I think I've spent a bit more than 2 weeks with it on trips. I recently went to my first Bluegrass Festival and I liked it. It was a small festival. I'm debating whether to go to another small one this weekend.

It has inspired me to take up fiddle playing and I need to practice!

I'd like to welcome you also, Angie. It won't take you long to figure out that "Slow Cowboy" is somewhat of an icon here and very much liked and respected. You will also find we are not above a litle good natured ribbing. Glad you joined up. Good luck to both of you. I know he has been looking for that special someone for a while.

Like the rest said, Welcome Angie! Slow is a great guy and we do poke a bit of fun at him and tease him but thats because he's a part of our tear drop family! If we didn't like him, well we would treat him like a redheaded step child we didn't want or need. That being said we hope you enjoy the forum and camping with our bud while he keeps the critters out of his corn this year .

Cliff
In God we trust, shoot the rest and he will sort out!

If it wasn't for slowcowboy I would not be on the 12 step recovery from sniffing gorilla glue. Thanks for being my sponsor

Ya, and they'd all be wantin' me to work on somethin' for them.

Why haven't I post much lately, well,.... I had to get a second job in order to have the money to build my li'l camper, wife wanted me to quit the 2nd job, then,... we bought a different tow vehicle,.... now I need the money to pay for it so it's a good thing I didn't quit.....

On my full time job I was so far behind that I just started over this year and still can't get caught up! :NC

Work, work, work, work, work... :?

Contratulations Mike on the new little woman in your life. Who knows, someday it may work into something more "perminant" like marrage, then you'll know what we've all been complaining about,... :DOH2: OUCH!! er,... uh,... I mean, be living a blissful, wonderful life together with the perfect woman for over 22 years, isn't that right dear? :BE

Just kiddin' Mike, take your time, you've waited 36 years, no sense gettin' in a hurry now. :eyebrows: ;) :BE

Angie, Welcome :goodmorning:
I notice you've got a few posts under your belt now and would like to say I'm sorry. Now that you have "partaken" of this "drug" known as the tnttt website / forum, there is NO KNOWN ANTIDOTE!!! It's too late. This "drug" will cause you to be sleepy during the day, have blood shot eye's (from stayin' up 'til 2am readin' posts), and if you work around computers you'll find yourself checkin' the site out during the day instead of workin'. Kinda feels like cheatin' on a spouse or somethin' (no, I've ever done that, she's meaner than me) You find yourself login' on, when you should be workin', to get your "fix" and to make sure you don't have any, heaven forbid, "un-read" posts to catch up on. Oh well, guess everybody else gets smoke breaks...
