First "official" camping outing of 2011

Postby SonofT@B » Fri Feb 18, 2011 2:25 pm

I talked my friend of 35 years and his wife into finally going camping. My friend finally bought a camper late last year but hadn't had any good weather to try it out. So with four days of over 70 degrees predicted for the weekend we headed out. I say this is my first "official" camping outing of 2011 because I'm not counting the 10 days we camped in cold and snow at my daughter's house in Greensboro, NC waiting for our first grandchild.

My friend wanted a test before he heads out to Florida next month for a couple of weeks. The weather is perfect and the campground is booked solid!

Here's T@Bitha all decked out for the night. I call it the "Alhambra" of campers. Now all I need is the belly dancer.

And here's my friend's little camper. I think I may have oversold him on the idea of camping!?

The only "roughing it" part for your friend is climbing into that thing!

Maybe paying for a fill up would be pain full as well!

Oh, my... That's hilarious

That's quite a rig for a first camper.

I'm dying to go, too. We're headed to kids' campus to visit with them over the weekend. If we hadn't already made those plans, I'd plan to camp somewhere. Would be nice if we could camp during our visit, the their CG's aren't open

My plan on Monday, a holiday for me, is to hook up the T@B and go to an empty CG and practice, practice, practice, backing that little buggar into the sites. It may look a little odd, but it wouldn't be the first time.

Hope you guys have a blast! When the belly dancer shows up take some pics. I gotta see that....

Mike, I love the curtains and lights on the e-z Up. So cool, a belly dancer or a fortune teller, lol. Your friend went over the top on his new camper...I hope they have a good time in Florida. Happy camping Mike.
