My New-To-Me Teardrop!!!

Postby Verna » Sun Mar 18, 2012 9:14 pm

May I introduce my New-to-me 2006 Little Guy 4-wide Patriotic Display Teardrop? I drove 14 hours round trip today to bring her home. (I hope it's OK to call a Little "Guy" ....."her" )

Here's a picture of the interior with the pillows and coverlet that came with it:

And, a close-up of part of the Patriotic Display:

Some history the previous owner told me this afternoon. The Little Guy was originally purchased by a Corvette owner to pull behind the Corvette at car shows. But, he couldn't bring himself to put a hitch on the 'Vette. The LIttle Guy sat in his garage until about 18 months ago when the 2nd owner bought it. Apparently, the new owner's wife loved camping, but he could take it or leave it. So, after one night of camping in the Little Guy, it has sat in his garage for the past 18 months. So, I'm the 3rd owner.

For right now, the Little Guy will be stored outside under a cover. Over the next few weeks, I'll be rearranging my hardwood lumber in the garage, and hopefully the Little Guy will fit in the garage with my Escape, table saw, planer, mitersaw.......I need to do some careful measuring first

OOPS!!! I guess I guessed correctly...when you posted about something new that was red white and blue in the driveway!! Sorry to spill the beans...I just knew Little Guys came in a patriotic theme and you wanted a tear!!

Very cute trailer!! I saw a Sidekick on hwy 101 yesterday when going to fetch the tv...thought of you. But now you are a teardropper...more a teardropper than I am, since I'm a squaredropper!!!

Hope you have tons of fun with your new baby!!!

Hope you like it as well as I like my Little Guy.

I have not taken off the "I Go Where I'm Towed" logo. I think it makes people smile, and they will be more inclined to let you squeeze into the correct lane when needed.

You're right, I don't want to take off the "I Go Where I'm Towed" logo--it does make people smile and I like smiling people.

People are already smiling at my vanity plate on the Escape that is "ESCAPED"....and I ordered the vanity plate for the Little Guy this morning of "ESCAPD2" :D Of course, they're all wondering where I escaped from, but hey, let them wonder...as long as the cops don't take it literally!!!

Yes, I'm sure I will be loving this "ESCAPED2", which is now her name (BMV only allows 7 characters, but I can spell it out).

I'll start on putting the electrical connections in a couple of weeks, and then I'll have to see if my idea for the galley upgrade will work. I may need to do a prototype first to make sure it works. Hopefully I'll be camping in it by the end of April. Of course, Teardrop Time may dictate by the end of May
