Your Favorite Cabin Feature

Postby RioWilson » Sun Dec 30, 2012 9:45 am

We recently got our TC Teardrop as a Christmas gift to each other. The interior is a blank canvas - just wanted to see what your favorite mod has been for your interior cabin - shelves, nets, gadgets, all welcome! To start - here's some wall mounted net pockets we've added. What's your favorite feature of your cabin?

so far my favorite would be a tie between my porch light

and my table

Gertrude's new bed. I raised 3/4 of the cabin floor the distance of a 1x3, laid 3/4" plyboard over it, and topped it all with custom-made mattress sections to match the storage sections created from raising the floor. Resulted in great storage, plus I no longer get eaten alive by the door frame when I get in and out!

I really need to re-retire one of these days.

If you are going to pick one feature it would have to be the LED reading lights followed by the XM radio.

For me it's the stereo system, followed by the propane fueled catalytic heater...

Like Sharon (Indycamper), the raised floor I installed so I don't end up with such ugly bruises on the rear of my legs from the bottom of the door frames. Plus, it's a great storage place.

The comfy 5" foam mattress. I sleep so good in there...I may even sleep out there in the garage tonight--Happy New Year!!!!

I apologize for going over to the dark side and bought a fully self contained van conversion.
The favorite feature is the ----toilet----
And being able to stand up.
Can't keep trailers at the apartment but I get away with keeping the van here because it's no longer or wider than some of the other tenant's big vehicles.
That and the Little Guy Silver Shadow was leaking and rotting apart. :x

#1: The lifting roof that allows me to stand up and cook inside, especially if it is cold or rainy; and, of course, #2; the hidden indoor potty. (Excuse the unintended pun. )

My camper is so plane, I have to say the best and only accessory is my solar panel and lights set from
Harbor Tools. Cheap and works well.

Ps. I think the camera is a good ideal. Hummmm what is that I hear outside? Shall I open the door or not?

My Favorite Cabin Feature is my mattress. If you don't have a good mattress you’re not going to enjoy teardrop'n. ;)

Re: Your Favorite Cabin Feature

Postby Roly Nelson » Mon Jan 07, 2013 1:53 am

After giving this post a lot of thought, I have narrowed my favorite cabin feature down to one specific item. It is a wide-mouthed pickle bottle with these big bold letters painted on it's the outside. B T P I. (bottle to pee in). I'm sorry, but I just have to be truthful, since I spend very little time within my cabin, except when the sun goes down, and this seems like the most important item as I continue to get older. It sure beats going outside in the cold of night.
