On page 80 of the Five Star Manufacturing catalog are two 12 volt interior heaters.

Might work to take the chill off if you have enough battery.

Or get 2 or 3 K9 bed warmers

I had a similar 12V heater in my Hunter teardrop as those in the catalog (that big one in there sucks 25 amps -that'd take a ten gauge wire to handle it I think). I used it a couple of times and found it a waste of energy. I could hardly notice the heat it put out and I think that's normal for a 12v heater. I switched over to a heated mattress pad. That did work, but found the pad itself to be a bit on the uncomfortable side. In my new teardrop –that's 12v only– I have an electric blanket with a 30/45 minute timer for pre-heating the bed. If I recall it sucks about 5 amp/hours. I think it'll be just the ticket.

120V? I'd need to find a current bush where I like to camp. :)

Slow: Does that 12V ceramic heater of yours actually make much of a difference?

I love this picture. Hope to experience that experience again soon.

I only use ac for my electric needs. Most of my camping is done in the cold season with a wallmart heater on its lowest setting. If i am where there is no electic I just tough it out with a sleeping bag. Thats always been enough for me. 50 degrees f and up you nomally dont even need a sleeping bag.

Must be an East Coast thing. My experiences with uninsulated camping are about the same. It sure will be great with a well insulated CT.

I was not planning on heater. Maybe open window and candle lantern just in case.
My trailer is insulated on all six sides plywood sandwich of purple R-4 foamboard. If need be, can tarp it to cut the wind.
We have overnighted in clear weather down to +15F just in sleeping bags. Our tent has been comfortable in weather to 0F.

I use the small heater buddy. Has an low oxygen cutoff but I crack the windows a bit. Keeps it real warm inside but I noticed the bottom of the sleeping bag was still cold so we throw in some hand warmers in the bottom of the bag . Also jump in your vehicle and warm up before getting in the teardrop helps alot .

Been in ours down to about 20f with a portable buddy heater mounted on the wall. We generally run it for about 20 minutes to warm everything up then shut it off for the night. If I wake up cold 6 hours later I'll pop it on again and set an alarm for 15-20 minutes later to turn it off again. It works well but the open flame and o2 use did make me nervous at first.

With the roof vent and windows cracked you can run it for quite awhile without hitting the low oxygen shutoff, with the windows closed it'll flame out pretty fast from lack of oxygen. I also have a fire alarm and co alarm mounted in my cabin just to be safe.

We opted for just an electric blanket, the campgrounds in our area close the non-electric sections for the off-season so power isn't usually a problem.

I use a military -30 down mummy type sleeping bag. Usually have to unzip it because it gets to warm. I used in my full size travel trailer while I was working on the east coast with lots of snow. When out you can cover yourself with 6mm plastic and it helps retain the heat.

For me I need the battery in my teardrop to run a CPAP. But I also wanted to be able to use the teardrop for ice-fishing over night. Or go hunting out on a logging road. So I needed a heater that did not use any of the battery power ,is good on a windy lake at -20F and fully vented for a safe night sleep(not a forever sleep) I came up with a propane radiant tube heater.
