Q, so much for fresh air after you've used your "hole in the floor"

A few days before this thread started, my husband was talking about the very idea, thinking it would help with cooling by having the fan in the vent pull air through the teardrop from a vent on the floor.
Then what do I find on the forum but the very idea being discussed with members having already done it in different ways. How great is that!
We aren't planning on having any AC, so if a little vent can make that much difference, sounds worth it to me.

Members on this forum come up with so many great ideas. :applause:

I have an "air box" around the sides and top of my air conditioning unit centered in the lower galley at the foot of the bed. This air box has two intake holes through the floor for the intake air of the ac unit. I taped into this air box with a filtered floor vent, mounted in the wall above the floor mounted air conditioner. This allows fresh air from under the trailer to be drawn from the foot of the bed to the roof mounted fantastic vent fan. Should give much more coverage for cooling fresh air when ac power is not available to run the air cond unit.

War eagle,

I snapped a few pictures of the vent, hard to get good ones in a dark garage...

My first attempt at venting incorporated the A/C unit being run on fan mode only like Larwyn. The square floor vent in front of the A/C is in the fresh air path on the way to the A/C condenser. I thought I could tap into this low air pressure area and vent the tear. It didn't work well due to my not being able to cut off the normal air flow for the A/C under the trailer.
