Smart A$$.

The only math in that is the 8 inches needed for my board width. Mine needs an adjustment on the top cut but I really think I can just put it there and mark it. :worship:

On my trailer I don't see how all joints could be 90 degrees without the boards being so wide that the waste would be hard to accept. Each trailer will be different and each persons tolerance for the amount of waste is different. I would think that the joints would be 1/2 of the meeting angle of the two pieces.

I gotta laugh, I wish this post had been two weeks earlier!!!! Trully...I hear your pain!!! I am the master at making what should be simple...difficult!!! This trim thing is killing me!!! I have not found an easy way to do it. At this rate, the SlumberMAX just might end up as the SlumberSLUP

Well, you use the left overs for the straight runs. 8) and all the other little shelves and stuff.

Oh Dave, the Slumber Max is coming along beautifully. If I thought I could bend the wood to mine I might try it.

I put the "if the curves aren't too soft" for a reason. Most won't be 90* but if you read the quote Mary K. posted you will find what you are saying. Difference is there is no measuring angles. :D

I would love to see a thread with trim detail and how it was done.

Arthur I fixed it.

I think I finally understand what Steve was saying. Do the top strip and use it to clamp the side strips to. Layering might be easier than cutting. Hope you don't mind Steve, I borrowed it.

Miriam don't you think that would be easier? I thought it was a good idea. Thanks Steve.

Yep! I think that would be a lot easier. Time consuming but a lot easier. I however committed myself to some expensive spalted Maple which would totally loose it's character if I strip it.

The hardest part I can see with the laminating is cutting the strips if you don't have a router or table saw.

Mary...the answer is simple....just go out and buy more tools! A band saw to resaw the materials and a 12" planer to surface them....It's projects like this that have greatly increased my "toolage", and after all, there is no such thing as too many tools....  Doug
