What are folk's experience in gluing filon? What sorts of adhesives have been tried and what have been the results?
Thanks,

I used regular contact cement on mine with mixed results. I get oil canning in the summer sun which shows that it has come loose in spots. I floated the Filon on the roof, no adhesive at all and it worked pretty good. Filon is stiff enough that I don't think you need any cement at all, just trim around all the sides should keep it on the trailer. Home Depot sells adhesive that is made for FRP, I think I would give that a try if I really wanted to use something to stick it down. Stabond is the suggested contact adhesive to use with Filon, according to the Kemlite Corporation, which is the largest frp manufacturer in the world. I don't know where you get it though...
Hope this helps,

Bruce
