Teardrop Murals

Postby jsipe » Wed Mar 21, 2012 5:20 pm

Hi, this is my first post--I think.

I'm building a teardrop right now, and I've decided to airbrush paint a wraparound Pacific Northwest theme on it.

I have two of them more or less completed. Hope you guys enjoy. Would love to know if you like it (or not, I guess).

Thanks,

Thanks, Paul. I saw your post about airtightness--and I have to say that I will make that a priority in my build. My former father-in-law told me a story about a family he knew who forgot to open a window in their huntin' camper, and they all DIED. He used that as a way to not be too worried if his caulking jobs around the windows weren't "up to snuff" (no pun intended, of course).

As for your personal website, I thought I would direct you to Zazzle for making some teardrop-based products to sell. I've made thousands of $$$ on that site. It is super easy, and you could post links to your products on your own site.

I started off playing with airbrushes too, and it just kinda stuck. Am looking forward to painting MANY more trailer murals, as they are fun and allow me lots of creativity.

I'm not very ambitious. Mostly just enjoy seeing my little home built decals on peoples trailers.. I wouldn't know what to do if I was rich. :NC

I always enjoy the creativity of the T&TTT folks, very much in contrast to the Behemoth RV owners.

I really like the way you integrated the door and window of the TD into the cabin of the mural. Is that Multnomah Falls on the back hatch?

Thanks, folks. That is, indeed, Multnomah Falls.
The other side's mural is slated to be Heceta Head Lighthouse, Oregon. I didn't incorporate the window into that one--I'm just pretending it's a portal to another dimension floating in midair.
The forward side of the trailer is going to be a highway scene so whoever is pulling the trailer will look in their rear-view window and only see the open road. :)
