Ahhh, now that's "Kansas" talk.. hook it up and never look back. Thanks everyone. I'm sure it's just the way it is.. just kinda shocked at what I saw in the mirror.

Keith...if the wheels aren't leaving the ground, then that "bounce" you are seeing is the torsion axle doing it's job.....

Oops, I missed the fact that you had a torsion axle. Danny is probably more right than I am. Have you got a friend that would follow you around the block?

I sure do have a "chaser"... that's the plan for tomorrow. Tow and follow. The TD was leaving the ground before I added the rock, etc. to simulate galley, etc... but now, it's just "bouncing", not leaving :)

Keith, have you checked the tire balance? I had to go with a 2300lb torsion axle to get the same bolt pattern as my Camaro’s. I am running 27lb pressure in the tires and it gives a nice smooth ride.

One thing I have noticed when traveling pulling or even following a Teardrop is that the bounce appears greater looking back at the trailer in the mirrors than it really is sometimes. The movement or oscillation of the tow vehicle amplifies the appearance of the "bouncing" in the mirrors sometimes. They are going to bounce alittle. I have 0ver 17,000 plus miles on one of them and not one structural problem what so ever. I have been concerned on all the crap (additional weight) my wife feels necessary to bring along. All my teardops have 3500 lb straight axles, which allows for car wheel and tire usage, with 1150 lb spring packages installed for off road use in our area. Reducing tire air pressures does smooth out the ride and gives more cushion to the teardrop riding behind the tow vehicle. However I would not recomend this if your using China poppers only with larger car style wheels and radial tires. Most Trailer rated radial tires have stiffer sidewalls, not rated for smoothest ride verses car radial tires which flex more for comfort. Just my two cents worth

I don't speed read. I also don't read a lot of posts. At least I admitted that. That's more than I can say for a lot on this board.
And how's that saying go? If the shoe fits, wear it.
