Hatch Seal question

Postby Classic Finn » Sun Sep 21, 2008 1:08 pm

Hey folks I,m about to add seals to the hatch and now Id 1st like to seal up the very lower section that sits to the end of the tear frame.

Can anyone tell me how to do this please and what kinds of seal have you used?

I guess this photo is as good as any I have to show which seal is in question.

I was planning on using Grant's Hatch seal on the side and bottom edges of the hatch, at the bottom of the page:

$1 per foot.

I bought the same seal from Grant, but I haven't installed it yet.

How does it attach? Do you glue it? Would that be used on the side wall or on the hatch?

I'm planning on gluing it on the hatch side with weather strip adhesive. I'm not sure if that's the way most do it or not but it seems like it should work ok.

Yep this is true, but I was going to put some weather strip glue on the hatch side just to make sure it will stick real good. :R
