Need help attachng wood to metal

In the frame tutorial, it talks about putting a wood perimiter around the frame, and attaching the walls to the perimiter.

Does anybody have pictures of this? I would like to do away with the wood torsion box floor, and use a plywood floor. What types of bolts work best for this?

If you are just using a single sheet of ply for the floor; drill 1/4Hole thru the ply and the frame. Enlarge the holes in the ply, install t-bolts and secure with short capscrews and washers from below.

I used trailer deck screws. They are self tapping and seemed to work pretty well.

...that is what I use...I have a single sheet ply floor which actually just floats...it is not connected to the frame...it is securely connected to the sides(using 1x1x1/16 Al angle as cleats, w/gorilla glue and screws) which are 3/4" ply and I use the trailer deck screws to connect the sides to the trailer frame...5 per side...works jam-up good...................

I used T-nuts and bolts through the floor. Works great

So, I can just attach the walls to the frame, and forgoe the 1x2 perimiter?

Did you see the "Wall Attachment Options...Illustrated" Sticky? That might help...

1 X 2 perimeter will allow insulating the floor. If you ain't gonna get in chilly conditions; your mattress will supply all the insulation you need
