an interesting thing I came up with to lay out the shape of

Was looking around in the shop, and spied my flexible exhuasts that i use to run my cars fumes out side, they really work nice, stiff enough to hold a shape, easy enough to "tweak" a little to taste


the shape i decided on, if i dont go with a kit.

I used a pool noodle floatee!

I used a 1/16 X 8' of an inch slice of 2X4 and a few screws to get my curves drawn out.

I just printed mine out full size (took six 36X48 sheets) taped it to the ply and cut her out, paper and all.

I used 1/8" or 3/16" diameter x 8' long dowels and a few nails at key points... Not my idea - Kevin at KuffelCreek suggests it in his plans.

Inexpensive and works like a charm.

I drew my profile on some homemade graph paper (two sheets of lined paper stacked, one of which was turned 90 deg.). Each square =ed 6".

Then I reproduced the graph on the plywood with a snaped chalk line each 6".

After that I was able to reproduce my profile square by square from the paper onto the ply.

Just one more method.
