help needed removing weatherstripping adhesive

I need to replace the door weatherstripping and am having a heck of a time getting the old adhesive off. I started to use Goo Gone but saw that it removes varnish. The doors are varnished (Spar Urethane)wood and indeed the Goo Gone was softening the finish so I stopped immediately.
I haven't been able to find an adhesive remover that won't damage the varnish. It also looks like some silicone may have been used for extra adhesion but I am not certain yet.

Any help is appreciated!

You might want to try " Zippo" lighter fluid.

It works, and I didn't notice any varnish removal.

Thanks for the tip.
I was doing more research and found WD-40 was mentioned to work. Since it can remove paint I am guessing it's probably not good for varnish.
Another article mentioned denatured alcohol would remove silicone without harming varnished surfaces. I'll have to try that also.

This is what we used at the car dealerships I worked at to remove adhesive residue. Thanks for the reply. I just spent about 6 hours painstakingly scraping with a plastic scraper, softening with a hair dryer, a little goo gone, and denatured alcohol. There was a lot of silicone to remove. Ugh! I am beat but I got it off and the new on. Hopefully the doors won't leak now for several seasons.
