Becky (Oldragbaggers) had that problem on her "Lance and Becky's Sagwagon ".

She is well experienced with fiberglass and epoxy products and used that to build the edges of her walls back up.

Thanks kc study but her fix won't work for me I have aluminum sides and it too has been cut. Thinking I may put shim under hindge of hatch or build up notch area a little and build down overhang on hatch a little to fill in but need trim to cover shim pieces any ideas for those

backstrap ...

... What is your construction and how thick are your galley walls? Is the aluminum skin already on? Pics and more info would help a lot ...

Benroy galley walls 3/4 aluminum on gap is between 1/2 to 5/8 after reading another post I think I know where the screw up happened the notch was cut when walls were cut as per plans so roof ply increased it another 1/4 or 5/16

Add an aluminum strap to the underside of your hatch to correct the gap size. Then install your weatherstripping.

Micro doing the strap on the hatch and wall profile was the only way I can think of doing it and then put on trim hopefully the trim will hide the strapping
