I just signed on off on the proofs, and it'll go to press today or tomorrow.
It took them like two weeks to get the proof to me, because first, I didn't want to rush them at all since they're doing it as a freebie, and second, I had a lot of work in with them for my regular job.
But I have to tell you:
This thing is spectacular beyond belief. Way above my expectations on how well I thought it would proof out.
You see, nowadays, a lot of presses are direct to plate. That means they don't first output film, then engrave the plates, and then set the plates on the press. On these new CTP presses (computer to plate), the computer sends the info tdirectly to the plates on the press and engraves them right there in one step.
But why am I boring you with this crap?
Here we go again!
