Things that don't fit anywhere else...

MN State Parks

Well, they are opening. The question in my mind is do we use them or make a political point and go to private grounds?

I'm still kinda angry about the whole deal and feel the powers that be don't have a clue about how the shutdown effected families summer vacation plans.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I doubt if the politicians who made those stupid decisions about the shutdowns, will really care a hoot about the camping trips of some people. They obviously didn't care about all the people who were out of work during the shutdown, and they suffered far greater damages.

I think boycotting the campgrounds would be a mistake on your part.

I agree--boycotting would only hurt the people who have already been hurt. In addition to that, staying away from state camp grounds will give the polital sorts reasons to close the camp grounds due to lack of use.

The best way to show your feelings is at the ballot box.

You do have 1 benefit that immediately comes to my mind - they are not under water like the parks and lakes and campgrounds along the whole Missouri River.

Use em! Some of us have to drive way out of the normal trips just for a weekend.

They better get this fixed by next April when I start my campabout or I'm not going to be happy. That's like a walkabout but with Coleman.

Camping and those little angry faces should never go togther. Go Camping, let go of the anger. The the beauty of the State Parks remind you of all the beauty in the world. In short, life is too short to hold on to anger.
