It will be real intersting to see what happens with electric cars, not only from the perspectie of performance, but how do we maintain our roads when electric cars are the primary vehicle on the road.
Currently we pay for road repairs by taxes on fuel. When the fuel comes from the grid and not the pump, those drivers are not paying for the upkeep of the road they are using for free. One can say that electric cars will pay because they don't pollute, but they just change the tailpipe unless their batteries are charged by something like wind or solar. It will be an interesting debate for sure. I bet we will see a whole bunch of toll roads.
